One day, Philip was walking along a quiet road. He loved to share the good news about Jesus with others. Wherever he went, he helped people understand God’s Word. Suddenly, something unusual happened. The Holy Spirit spoke to Philip. “Go to that road,” the Spirit said. Philip did not ask questions. He listened—and he obeyed. As he walked along the road, he saw a chariot passing by. Inside the chariot was an important man from a faraway land—Ethiopia. The man was reading from a scroll, but he looked confused. The Holy Spirit gently guided Philip again: “Go near the chariot.” Philip ran up beside it. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked kindly. The man looked at him and said, “How can I understand unless someone explains it to me?” He invited Philip to sit with him. Philip climbed into the chariot. The man showed him the scroll. It spoke about someone who suffered and gave His life for others. The man asked, “Who is this talking about?” Philip smiled. He began to explain. He told him about Jesus—how He loved people, how He helped others, and how He gave His life for everyone. As Philip spoke, the man listened carefully. Slowly, everything began to make sense. His confusion turned into understanding. His questions turned into joy. As they continued their journey, they came to some water. “Look!” the man said. “Here is water. What stops me from being baptized?” Philip smiled. “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” “I believe,” the man said with joy. They stopped the chariot. Both Philip and the man went down into the water. And Philip baptized him. When they came out of the water, something amazing happened. The Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away! The man looked around—but Philip was gone. Yet the man was not afraid. He was filled with joy. He continued his journey, smiling and praising God. Philip had listened to God’s voice. He had followed the Spirit’s guidance. And because of that, one man understood the truth—and his life was changed forever. 🌟 MORAL LESSON When we listen to God, we can help others in wonderful ways. 🧒 SIMPLE KIDS MESSAGE Listen to God and be ready to help others.
