Long ago, in a busy town, there lived a Roman officer called a centurion. A centurion was a leader of many soldiers. He was strong, respected, and used to giving orders. But this man was also kind. He had a servant who was very sick—so sick that he could not move. The centurion cared deeply about his servant. He did not want him to suffer. He had heard about someone special—Jesus. People said Jesus could heal the sick, help the hurting, and do wonderful things. The centurion believed it. “I must find Him,” he said. So he sent messengers to Jesus with a request: “Please come and heal my servant.” When Jesus heard this, He began to go with them. But before Jesus reached the house, the centurion sent another message. It was a surprising one. “Lord,” the message said, “I am not worthy to have You come under my roof.” The people around Jesus looked at each other. Why would he say that? The message continued: “But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” The centurion understood something important. “I am a man under authority,” he explained. “I tell one soldier, ‘Go,’ and he goes. I tell another, ‘Come,’ and he comes.” He believed that Jesus had even greater authority. If Jesus spoke, it would happen. Jesus stopped and listened carefully. Then He turned to the people around Him and said something amazing: “I have not found such great faith—even in all of Israel!” The crowd was surprised. A Roman officer—a man from far away—had shown such strong faith! Jesus smiled. He knew what would happen next. “Go,” Jesus said. “Let it be done just as you believed.” At that very moment—far away, in the centurion’s house—the servant was healed. The sickness was gone. He could stand. He could move. He was well again! When the centurion heard the news, his heart filled with joy. He had trusted Jesus. And Jesus had answered. This story teaches us something very special. The centurion did not need to see Jesus do the miracle. He did not need Jesus to be there in person. He believed. And that was enough. Jesus showed that His power has no limits. He can help us wherever we are. All we need is faith. 🌟 MORAL LESSON True faith trusts God, even without seeing. 🧒 SIMPLE KIDS MESSAGE Trust Jesus—He can help you anywhere, anytime.
