Esther the Brave Queen – Book 1

Long ago, in a grand kingdom called Persia, there lived a young Jewish girl named Esther. She was kind, gentle, and very brave — though she didn’t know it yet.
Esther lived with her cousin Mordecai, who loved her like a father. He taught her to trust God and always do what was right.
One day, the king of Persia was looking for a new queen. Girls from all over the land were brought to the palace. When the king saw Esther, he was amazed by her beauty and gentle heart.
“She will be my queen,” the king said with a smile.
And just like that, Esther became Queen Esther!
But not everyone in the palace was kind.
There was a proud and cruel man named Haman. He was angry at Mordecai and hated the Jewish people. Haman made a terrible plan to harm all of them. He tricked the king into signing a law that would hurt Esther’s people.
When Mordecai heard about it, he was very sad. He sent a message to Esther:
“Esther, God made you queen for a reason. You must help our people.”
Esther’s heart beat fast.
Going to the king without being invited was dangerous. The king could punish anyone who did that — even the queen!
Esther prayed quietly.
“God, please give me courage,” she whispered.
Then she stood tall and said:
“I will go to the king. If I must risk my life, I will do it to save my people.”
With a deep breath, Esther walked into the king’s throne room.
Everyone gasped.
But the king looked at Esther kindly and held out his golden scepter.
“You may come, my queen,” he said warmly.
Esther smiled with relief.
She invited the king and Haman to a special dinner. At the dinner, Esther bravely told the king the truth.
“Your Majesty,” she said softly, “Haman has made a plan to harm my people. I am one of them.”
The king was shocked and very angry at Haman.
“How could you do this?” the king shouted.
Haman was punished for his wicked plan, and the Jewish people were saved!
Joy filled the kingdom. Mordecai was honored, and Esther was praised for her great courage.
That day, everyone learned something important:
God uses brave hearts to do great things.
And Esther learned that even when you feel small or afraid, God can make you strong.

How can you be brave like Queen Esther this week?
