Noah and the Big Ark — Book 1

Long ago, when the world was very busy and loud, people often forgot how to be kind and loving. But there was one man who tried his best to do what was right. His name was Noah.
Noah loved God and listened carefully when God spoke to him. One day, God gave Noah a very special message.
“Noah,” God said gently, “I want you to build a big ark. It will be a strong boat that will keep you, your family, and many animals safe.”
Noah had never built a boat before. The sky was clear, and rain had never fallen like God described. Still, Noah trusted God with all his heart.
So Noah began to build.
He cut tall trees, hammered wooden boards, and worked day after day. People passing by laughed and pointed.
“Why are you building such a big boat on dry land?” they teased.
But Noah smiled kindly and kept working. He believed that God knew what was best.
Soon, something wonderful began to happen.
Animals started arriving from every direction. Two by two they came — tall giraffes with long necks, strong elephants with swinging trunks, fluffy sheep, hopping rabbits, tiny ants, and colorful birds flying above.
Noah and his family welcomed each animal into the ark. There was room for everyone.
When the ark was full, dark clouds gathered in the sky. A soft rain began to fall. Then the rain grew heavier and heavier until water covered the land.
The ark lifted gently off the ground and floated safely on the water.
Inside, Noah cared for the animals. He fed them, cleaned their spaces, and spoke to them softly so they would not be afraid. Though the storm was loud outside, the ark was filled with peace.
For many days and nights, rain poured from the sky.
At last, the rain stopped.
Slowly, the waters began to go down. Warm sunlight broke through the clouds, filling the ark with golden light. Everyone felt hopeful again.
Noah opened a window and sent out a dove to search for land. The little bird flew far and wide but soon returned with nowhere to rest.
A few days later, Noah sent the dove again.
This time, the dove came back holding a fresh green leaf in its beak.
“There is dry land!” Noah said happily.
Soon after, the ark rested gently on solid ground. The doors opened, and animals hurried out, stretching their legs and sniffing the fresh air.
The earth was new and clean once more.
Noah and his family thanked God for keeping them safe.
Then God placed a beautiful rainbow across the sky — bright red, yellow, green, blue, and purple shining together.
“This rainbow is my promise,” God said, “to always care for the earth and the people on it.”
Noah smiled as he looked up at the colorful sky. He knew that trusting God had saved them all.
And from that day on, the rainbow reminded everyone of God’s love and faithfulness.
